Overview
Some 2018 Fiat group vehicles have a "security gateway" module (SGW).
The SGW module blocks any diagnostic tool from executing commands on the vehicle (like actuators, procedures and even clearing of DTCs).
The option is to physically connect the to CAN lines behind SGW module.
The 2018 models with confirmed presence of SGW are 500X/Renegade, 500L MCA, Doblo, Giulia/Stelvio.
The module is also present in some late 2017 vehicles.

The new FCA vehicles have a secure gateway, that needs to be bypassed in order to perform many procedures (for example key learning).
The cable is inserted directly in the connectors of the secure gateway which makes working with it extremely easy.
